Slots and the VLT salon
The casino floor at Red Deer Resort & Casino covers 38,000 sq ft. It holds 343 slot machines, plus electronic table games. The 16 VLTs sit apart in a dedicated VLT salon, which runs on its own schedule.
Slot hours are Monday to Thursday, 9:30 AM to 3:00 AM. From Friday at 9:00 AM, the slots stay open straight through to Monday at 3:00 AM. VLTs keep different hours: Sunday to Thursday 9:30 AM to 3:00 AM, Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 AM. After 4:00 AM on a Saturday night, the slots are still running while the VLT salon has closed. The next thing guests usually ask is when the tables open, and the answer is just below.
Table games in the main pit
The main pit holds 10 live tables, run on a separate schedule from the slots. Games are EZ Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. The Perfect Pair side bet is available at all Blackjack tables.
Tables open at 2:00 PM every day. They close at 1:00 AM from Sunday to Wednesday and at 2:00 AM from Thursday to Saturday. Table hours start later than slot hours, so an early arrival finds machines running but no live tables. Holiday hours should be checked on the resort's own site. Table minimums are not published, so the casino at 403-342-5825 is the place to ask before setting out.
The poker room
The poker room has 8 tables and runs cash games. Daily tournaments start at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM. The room opens at 2:00 PM every day, the same hour as the main pit.
For the closing time and for open seats, the poker room line at 403-342-5825 ext. 3 takes calls directly. Tournament details such as buy-ins are a question for the same number. Holiday hours are best checked on the resort's own site as well.

Are the slots open all night on weekends?
Yes, the slots run 24 hours on weekends, from Friday at 9:00 AM straight through to Monday at 3:00 AM. Monday to Thursday, they open at 9:30 AM and close at 3:00 AM.
